Why has Ambassador Temple-Black not been afforded the honor of having Federal flags flown at half-staff after her death? Surely a diplomat of her caliber and Kennedy Center Honoree deserves the respect of a grateful nation.
A 3 time Ambassador and the first female US Chief of Protocol as well as America's #1 movie star in the 1930's entertained a country through the Great Depression and prompting then President Roosevelt to say "as long as our country has Shirley Temple, we will be all right."
Well we don't have her anymore...she should be honored.
