Honor Chris Mintz with the Soldier's Medal

On his sons 6th Birthday, this man made a conscious decision to not be a victim. He is a true Hero and a Soldier even if his official time in uniform has expired.
An exert from an article written about the incident states, "It is unclear how many lives Chris Mintz may have saved during the Oregon community college shooting, but it seems that even buying time for police to arrive may have made a difference."
Criteria for the Soldier's Medal is as follows:
The performance must have involved personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of life under conditions not involving conflict with an armed enemy. Awards will not be made solely on the basis of having saved a life.
