We, the people, believe that the place to fight a criminal conviction is in the courts, not in the media. Amanda Knox has been convicted of a crime in Italy. She has had, and will have other opportunities to assert and prove her innocence, or disprove the evidence against her.
Meredith Kercher will never have any opportunities. She was brutally murdered, and those responsible should be held accountable. As of now the Italian Courts are holding Amanda Knox responsible.
As unfortunate as this situation is, the United States MUST honor any Extradition Treaties legally in force, regardless of any clamor made by good intentioned Americans. To do otherwise is to hold Amanda Knox as "above the law" and not accountable for her actions simply because she is American.
