Liberace wanted his image to be honored on a United States postage stamp before his death in 1986. The rules of the post office prevented living celebrities from receiving this honor while he was alive.
Over the years since his death many of the tribute artists connected with Lee including Steve Garey, Carolyn Lee, and even his personal attorney Joel Strote collected signatures to make this wish come true.
The website http://liberacedeservesastamp.wordpress.com/ was launched prompting other supporters to write letters in support of a stamp.
Sadly the groundbreaking legacy that was Liberace has gone ignored by the stamps committee and it is in that regard we ask fans of Lee from all over our nation to support putting him on a stamp on this petition in light of USPS rule changes.
