We the people request that the recently discovered crater on the dwarf planet Ceres with two unusual bright spots is designated by NASA's Dawn Spacecraft team as Leonard Nimoy Crater. This would be a fitting honor for a man who has inspired for a couple of generations of young people in the United States and around the world to pursue careers in Science and Engineering. Since this crater which could be described as 'fascinating' was discovered shortly before Leonard Nimoy's passing, it would be the most appropriate tribute this nation can do.
