Lawrence "Larry" King was a 15 Year old student at E. O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard,California.On 2/12/2008 Larry was shot twice in the back of the head by a fellow student,Brandon Mclnerney.Larry was known to go by girl's names and wear girls clothes and his flamboyant appearance and behavior is believed to be the motive for the shooting.School officials allowed students to plant a tree on school property in Larry's honor but refused to allow a plaque with his name to be placed along with the tree.We are asking President Obama to use his power to help require E. O. Green Junior High School to place a plaque in memoriam of Lawrence "Larry" King along with the tree.Larry's life deserves to be honored regardless of the way he looked or his sexual orientation.
