Military dogs have a difficult time coming home following service to their country. Despite the wishes of their handlers -with whom the dogs have grown attached - the US military considers dogs 'equipment', and treats them as such. Many dogs that survive military life are injured or suffer from PTSD. Whether healthy or not, many dogs are abandoned in foreign countries following their sacrifices in service to their country.
We the People petition the US government to instruct the military to return all surviving military dogs home to the USA, and to secure veterinarian care at no cost to for those surviving dogs who risked their lives in service to their handlers and their country.
