It is our position that President Obama wrongly classified the slaughter of 13 soldiers and the wounding of others at Fort Hood, as Work Place Violence. This classification makes those soldiers non eligible to receive Purple Hearts.The shooter, Nidal Hassan is currently in court on charges and has stated on the court record, that he is a Jihadist (Muslim terrorist) that he did shoot the soldiers in question and that he did so to show that war is hell. Mr. Hassan clearly believes himself to be an enemy of America and an enemy combatant. We believe that our Government through President Obama must accept Mr Hassan's assertions and classify him and his actions as terrorism. That will then make our dead and wounded soldiers eligible for the Purple Hearts they deserve.
