Members of our military sacrifice their freedom, their family time and their private lives in order to protect the freedoms we enjoy and to fight for the freedom of others around the world. Their families sacrifice for the benefit of us all while their loved ones and family members are deployed.
All give some, but some give all. Many are killed in the service of our country and this ultimate sacrifice should not go without our thanks and our recognition.
As the White House was illuminated in rainbow colors to celebrate the Supreme Court decision to allow gay marriage, it should be illuminated in red, white and blue to recognize and honor the ultimate sacrifice made by the members of our military when they are killed in service to our country.
