Every two years during the Olympic games, US dignitaries (including the president) lavish attention and well-wishes on those who represent our muscle, yet little attention is paid in regards to those who represent our minds.
With numerous top three placements in the World Sudoku Championship (WSC) and World Puzzle Championship (WPC), including the US team taking gold in 14 of the 22 team championships since the WPC's inception in 1992, recognition is long overdue for these puzzle enthusiasts.
We petition the President of the United States of America to honor the people representing Team USA at the WPC and WSC this year, and to issue a proclamation officially recognizing January 29th as National Puzzle Day -- a tradition celebrated in the puzzle community unofficially for many years.
