Bradley Manning is a hero of the republic, laying bare the atrocities performed by certain elements of our military in a vacuum of public accountability. Shining a light on these matters is not an act worthy of jail time, but of universal commendation. A full pardon is the only response that could be considered respectful of democratic principles including open governance.
