Honorable discharged soldiers allowed to protect and serve our children at schools in uniforms.

Created by D.S. on December 22, 2012

We the people, ask that our Honorble discharged soldiers be allowed to serve and protect our children in uniform. The sight, alone of a soldier in uniform regardless of the uniform will help protect, the youngest citizens of this country from acts of violence. A uniformed soldier will be a deterant, and provide a sense of security to the children, the staff of the school, as well as the parents.

Currently there is a Marine father that stood guard of his daughters elementary school the week after the Newtown, CT, shooting; in Nashville, TN. But it appears that the Marine Corps is not too please about the idea of him doing this in his uniform. We teach our military to serve and protect. What a better way for our men and women that served in our military to continue to serve and protect.
