On Sunday January 6th (3:28 pm), the Presidential Inaugural Committee notified persons that tickets for 1 of only 2 official Inaugural balls would be made available for sale on Monday January 7th. Subsequently, an email was sent (7:26 pm) containing the link and password to Ticketmaster.com to purchase tickets. Although we were informed we would not be able to purchase tickets until the following day, the link was live, and some persons were able to actually purchase tickets on Sunday evening. Within minutes, the event was sold out. Although the committee used a "first come-first served" disclaimer, it is certainly unfair to punish those who did not take advantage of this snafu. Please make this right by hosting an additional official event, even if you increase the price to cover costs.
