In February 2015, the Obama Administration convened its first-ever global summit on Countering Violent Extremism, but the inclusion of women peacebuilders fell far short. Peacebuilding efforts that include groups beyond the military and government are 64% less likely to fail.
This September, the summit will reconvene and set the path forward to countering violent extremism around the world.
