host the premiere screening of "The Interview" at the White House to show we will not surrender free speech to threats.

Created by D.B. on December 18, 2014

We cannot allow terror threats to dictate our films, our television shows, our plays or our books. Yielding to terrorist hackers sends a message of submission that other terror groups and U.S. adversaries will enthusiastically receive and exploit. North Korea appears to be the aggressor in this instance, but what if Putin's Russia is upset about a film about Ukrainian resistance? Or if ISIS decides that a film is an affront to Islam? We either stand up to this now or we invite increasing demands from ever more sources of tyranny. Therefore, it is essential to the preservation of our First Amendment freedoms that "The Interview" be released and shown. A premiere screening at the White House would show the world we will not be intimidated.
