Whereas Hostess Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Wonder Bread are American iconic brands; Whereas Hostess Brands was forced to cease operations due to current economy led by President Obama; Whereas Hostess Brands offers sustainable employment to 18,000+ employees; Whereas Hostess brands brings affordable food products to all segments of the U.S population; Whereas the United States Government has a history of "bailing out" private companies for the good of the Nation (i.e. General Motors, Goldman Sachs):
This petition seeks immediate "Bail Out" funds of not more than U.S $100MM from the United States treasury to fund the resumption of Day to Day Operations of Hostess Brands to restore the public's access to the companies delicious and affordable snack products.
