One of the major problems in America that is not being addressed is how overpopulated our pet population is. The amount of homeless animals is approximately 70 million, the amount of animals in shelters is approximately 7.6 million, and the amount of animals euthanized is 2.7 million. These statistics are extremely concerning considering that those animals have been abandoned or neglected by the people that previously owned them. We, as a Country, need to solve this problem now before it gets any worse.
