How to Save the Salton Sea, Desalinate water, Create efficient energy projects in California and create 1000's of jobs.

Created by J.J. on January 16, 2013

Construct a pipeline from the coast of California to the Salton Sea for water inflow to stop the sea drying up. Water inflow will lower salinity of the sea to prevent enviromental issues. Then use the Salton sea as source of water to Desalinate water for S. California. Solving the issues that coastal water desalinization brings from environmental groups. Supply power for desalinization from Solar and Wind energy projects in the Salton Sea desert area. Pump Extra Saline by product water into a nearby dry lakebed in the Desert currently used for Salt production. Add the desalinated fresh water to the current California Aqueducts for transport to S. California, thus reducing the need for Colorado River Water. Economic benefits from this project would create thousands of jobs in S. California.
