Corporations now "run" the planet, with limited liability for the labor-/environmental-/social-/governance-/consumer-mischief they cause. They answer only to profit/shareholder concerns as their bottom-line. If we do not reign-in their power by demoting their status as "persons" [equal to you and me!], then we are headed for a New Feudalism, where, once again, a few entities own all the resources, money and power, and the rest of us "serfs" [read: "slaves"] are beholden to and dependent upon corporations for our very lives/livelihoods.
Once we re-assert proper power to the people we can begin serious conservation of this beautiful planet.
