HR 1581, the Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act of 2011, should be decided by the American Public, not by congress

House of Representitives Bill 1581, the Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act of 2011 (HR 1581) is making its' way through congress. This bill would open up undisturbed wilderness areas controlled and protected by the Bureau of Land Management under the Wilderness Act of 1964. The sponsor and cosponsor, both from California, claim that in creating this bill they are opening up thiese areas for the enjoyment of the American Public. But what they don't tell you is that this would open up these lands to comercial interests, logging and mining.
Please stop HR 1581 dead in it's tracts. Call for a national vote for OUR national treasues fate to be decided by the voters not congress!
