India, a country which prides itself as being culturally and religiously inclusive, has not held itself accountable for blatantly committing and indirectly supporting the massacre of a religious minority. Individuals, families, and bodies of Sikh religion were murdered, beat to death, burned alive, women raped, children killed, their personal and business property lotted and destroyed, by groups of Hindu mobs. Local bodies of government took no steps to stop such heinous acts and police activity participated in the systematic killings. A complete media blackout was placed over the, State of Punjab, who's majority population are Sikh. The Gov. of India has never formally apologized for the "genocide" or issued any form of compensation to the families affected the the riots to this day.
