America is falling behind! New Zealand is probably already experiencing tomorrow. Time zones are increasingly obsolescent human technologies in a globalising world that:
1) Enforce rationalist and capitalist experiences of time;
2) Allow all the Facebook friends in the Asia-Pacific to post birthday wishes before those in Europe, Africa and the Americas, thus creating temporally-based social hegemonies and;
3) Make is super difficult to schedule a reasonable Skype catch-up between the UK and the US.
Thus, we are petitioning the US Government to hurry America up, so that the US can catch up with the rest of the world and stop being left behind!
