regardless how many votes this petition gets, I bring it to your attention out of urgency.
Higher education is hindering people who already have skills from getting degrees and thus restricting them from being hired, based on increasing prices of degrees and the time needed to complete each class. A skilled professional will on average waste $100,000 and 4 or more years in pursuit of thier degree. this creates a hindrance to the progression of the USA in every aspect of life ranging from technology, medicine and even entertainment.
I implore you to use your influence to make all US Higher Education free for tax payers/US citizens, and allow for portfolio proof of competency to directly accredit someone a degree based on the quality of the works.
