I am outraged that the farmer assurance provision, Section 735wasn't struck from the Continuing Resolution spending bill

Created by B.S. on March 22, 2013

Though wrapped in a “farmer-friendly” package, this provision is an industry ploy to continue to sell GMO seeds even when found to be approved by USDA illegally. This is an attack on U.S. judicial review.
The judicial review process is essential. It serves as a vital check on any federal agency decision that may negatively impact human health, the environment and livelihood of farmers. This provision lets industry set its own conditions to sell biotech seeds, even if found to have been wrongfully approved.
The provision further forces USDA to immediately approve any permits for continued planting at the industry's request, putting industry completely in charge. USDA’s duty is to protect the interests of all farmers and the environment. The provision eliminates all of this.
