I am petitioning to have the the electoral voting repealed in favor of the Popular Vote in 2016.

I would like to prepose that we the people begin to elect our presidents by means of popular vote and eliminate the electoral college. I further prepose this is enacted into law prior to the 2016 Presidential election. All we have to do is tally/count all casted votes and whoever receives the highest percentage....wins. It's that simple. Recent gerrymandering of the electoral map which has occurred over the few years is just a way to garner the results of "lawmakers," not people. Our democracy depends on its people electing officials as opposed to elected officials deciding presidential outcomes. It's the clearest way to represent who the people choose for president no matter the outcome of an election.
