I ask congressman Michael Burgess to ask Governor Rick Perry of Texas to stop raising taxes on electric cars.

Created by M.K. on January 23, 2013

It is the responsibility of the states to spend only money they have for goods and services like infrostructure like fixing our roads and bridges. Taxes electric cars isn't the answer. State and local governors should do their part to add the certanty so 4000 new manufactoring jobs like electric car companies can help grow our state and local economy. I strongly oppose gas taxes to fund our infrostructure, schools, police, and firefighters. Instead of taxing carbon emissions and electric cars the best solution is to tax two sins like medical marrianna and casino gambling. Control them, regulate them, and tax them. This would generate 500 billion dollars of new revenue not new taxes to fund infrostructure, education, police and firefighters plus still manage to balance the budget.
