I ask congressman Michael Burgess to write state legislation for Texas in returning us back to a gold standard.

With federal deficits, out of control government spending, and the Obama administration living beyond the governments means without the senate passing a budget in four years Virginia has already written state legislation in returning the state back to a gold standard. It is time for Texas my home state to follow that motto. The US constitution quotes, "All currencies must be backed by gold or silver." Eversince Richard Nixon seperated the gold from the dollar and closed the gold window this has lead to inflation and our currency getting devalued by paper instead of gold and silver. Not only are the currencies backed by paper but empty promises and centeral bearocrats. It should be legal to use and spend gold and silver coins in Texas too.
