Dear. President Obama,

Over the last few decades antibiotic resistance has become a major concern. The overuse of antibiotics have given rise to resistant bacteria with some pathogens exhibiting multi-drug resistances that are impossible to treat. Simultaneously, a lack of potential profit, and arduous clinical trials, have de-incentivised pharmaceutical companies from creating new antibiotics. These factors have contributed towards the dwindling of effective antibiotics. In order to maintain treatments of bacterial infections, current antibiotics must be preserved.
