The purpose for this petition is to aid undocumented immigrants and their families living in the United States. Their legal status should not be a deterrent to their quality of life in the US. Many drive on the highways without a license, many go hungry because they don't want to raise any flags by going into the welfare system, many are working and don't qualify for the Earned Income Credit at the end of the year due to not being authorized to work so many just don't report their taxes, which if they did would benefit the US. Also, there are many who have been deported before but end up coming back because of hardships in their home country that the cons of coming back outweigh that of being in their home country... the punishment for coming back is also ridiculously excessive.
