I have not recieved a pay increase in 3 years as a retired active duty LTC, I have sacrificed for my country. I have seen all my bills, cost of living, food, gas continue to increase, while I have not recieved one increase in annual salary from the DOD in my civilian career. As a disabled veteran, I am finding it very difficult to survive on my current pay. A furlough will cut deep into my savings and it will cost me and my family more than you know. Please Mr. President, stop this furlough and remember not only those who have sacrified for this country but also the people that depend on a strong national defense.
