I propose all elected government officials, must pass a stringent background and periodic mental health checks.

• Most jobs today require some form of a background check and some a mental health check of which both are renewed every so often. It’s not too much to ask that the people making decisions/laws that we the people have to live with know they are mentally competent and not being influenced by a terrorist organization, big business or foreign countries. A drug test shall be required every year and they shall show they are financially sound which for this purpose means they have a budget and live within that budget, so if you can balance your household budget you can balance our country's budget
There is nothing in this request that is unreasonable the U.S Military are held to these standards our leaders Congress, Senators, Vice President and President should be held to the same basic standard
