I propose that the Federal Government fund research for the next series of antibiotics to be developed. With the current discovery that Bacteria has been found in the United States that is resistant to all current form of antibiotics it is a pressing need to develop new antibiotics to prepare for the upcoming battle against infections and disease. To a lesser extent, there must be clear regulations set in regards to the inclusion of antibiotics in livestock feed to reduce the creation of new antibiotic resistant infections.
