Setting up an exact amount for child support not based off of wages or any formula. There is a rough amount of what an average child cost to raise there is no reason to not set that number divide it in half and that's what child support is. None of this you make this much a year oh looks like your child cost more that is not true. I should not support my ex and my child. I should only be supporting my child no matter the amount I make
