For all Americans to partake in society as a whole their efforts need to be rewarded properly. The median income of the United States is around or about $39,000 per household. This is far too low for the people of this great nation to live, only survive. The economy keeps growing heavy at the top leaving even college graduates and trades workers on incredibly low wages. Without livable incomes people are forced to depend on government programs to survive. If minimum wages are increased people wouldn't need welfare or assistance from government. This would save billions in tax dollars and the tax revenue would increase exponentially. This revenue and savings could then be placed into our infrastructure creating more jobs. The biggest result of a $18.50 USD minimum wage would be no poor.
