I recommend replacing the government 5 day 8 hour days with a 4 day 10 hour day.

Replace Gov 5 day 8 hour days to 4 day 10 h day. Still 40 hour week.Save cost for gov buildings shut down for an extra day a week.Lights, heating, cooling could be turned down. Doors not be opening continuously extra day.Reduce electrical needs of these facilities.Will reduce our reliance on foreign oil and traffic accidents. One less day that commuters are sitting in traffic.Employees use less fuel. Less on road = less exposure to accidents. Increase moral .Surveying the employees , and would not mind few hours each day if longer weekend.Gov facilities are located on large pieces of land with nature.Weekends wildlife such as foxes, rabbits, deer, etc. seem to disappear in the week. Stimulate the economy= likely to spend shopping or recreation when off.
