This petition is to see the repeal of the Lautenberg Amendment (Pub.L. 104–208 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9), which strips U.S. citizens of their 2nd amendment right to bear arms. A right that is guaranteed and is inalienable. Many citizens (especially those in uniform) lose their jobs and careers due to this law which bans them from owning/possessing a firearm. A total repeal, or at the minimum, reform is needed. Re-institute the "Government Exception" that would allow federal officers, servicemen, and law enforcement the right to bear arms in the line of duty.
