I would like an audit of the gold reserves within Fort Knox.

There has not been an audit of the gold reserves within Fort Knox since the 1970s and the last president to actually see the gold was Reagan. I would hate to think that the vault is empty, and the gold has been squandered when it should be saved. As an American citizen I have always been told and believed that the United States' gold reserves have been guarded at Fort Knox, but if there is nothing there then what is holding up the value of our currency? I do not like to think that I have been lied to, and that the gold has been used for anything other than extreme emergencies. So I ask for an audit of the gold within Fort Knox, so that the American people can have some confidence that there is something backing our currency.
