We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

I would like to change the law from harassment to assault on any LGBT member.

Created by H.S. on October 12, 2016

I want to change or enact a law that will be considered an assault over harassment when any LGBT member is being harassed. My sister was brutally stabbed to death on August 29, 2016 by her neighbor for being gay. She made numerous police reports and the police did nothing. If the local police had charged him with assault, it could have prevented the death of my baby sister. I am completely heartbroken that someone has this much hate to brutally murder someone over their sexual orientation. This should not be tolerated at any time! This is 2016; gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender should have the right to live their lives without fear of being ridiculed or physically harmed. I want my sister's legacy to live on, I want to create a law called Danielle's law. Automatic assault charge!
