I would like every woman in the national guard be afforded six weeks unpaid maternity leave unpaid.

Created by C.B. on September 05, 2014

I am asking for six weeks unpaid maternity leave for national guard soldiers. Right now it is left up to the commander when a soldier is required to attend drill after giving birth. I was given three weeks even though I had complications and issues with feeding my son which reside in a different state than I was home stationed. I was required to be there due to the discretion of my commander. Active duty soldiers are given what I am asking for. No one else should have to go through what me and my son did.
