When one goes to vote, they may not know who their elected officials are. Whether they are unaware or misinformed, the people have a right to know their officials. A symbol, such as an asterisk, after the official's name should be used to identify them if one is running for reelection. Many incumbents are afraid to let the voters know that they are in office because of a fear of being voted out. The people should know who are responsible for their schools, city, state, and/or country. It helps them reelect the ones who make it a better place, and vote out the ones who ruin it or simply don't care.
