As Identity Theft and Cyber Crimes grow, Social Security Number fraud should be monitored by the government.

Cyber Crimes and Identity Theft are only going to increase. Being a victim is huge hassle and generally no fault of our own. Our Social Security Numbers are government issued. It's a government system, which banks and credit companies have obviously embraced. We are cogs in the system. But when our information is stolen, it is up to the individual to deal with the disruption, hassle, and difficult correction. The individual is forced out of peace of mind to pay for third party monitoring of their credit reports and SSN. It's time for this monitoring to be carried out on a daily basis, but the government, for all SSN numbers, for free.
