If congress can choose not to vote for a Supreme Court Justice, the electoral college does not have to vote either.

We the people cannot decide now that we want to vote for Hillary, or for Trump for that matter. Most people did not want to vote for either, but we did. We voted for who we thought we had to and we had to do it when it came up. We could not decide as a country that the time was wrong, or both candidates we not what we wanted so we just did not want to vote. The system is there to stop any one branch from having the power, but isn't that what congress did by refusing to vote on a Supreme Court justice? The timing my not have been what the controlling party wanted, but if this is the way to run a country, then why doesn't any elector pledged to a candidate they do not think right for the job just refuse to vote for any of the options presented.
