Congress needs to be working and a stalemate is not work. The whole job of the congress is to argue and negotiate for the people. Not for corporations, for the people. Not for oil companies, for the people. Not for the 1%, for the 99%.
Members of congress do not feel any consequences for skirting their responsibilities. If they do not perform well in their positions then there should be consequences. Congress is for the people, elected by the people. It is time that congress started working again.
No more short term solutions, think long term solutions for congress.
