There is a proposal to cut the measley 1.7% cost of living increase for troops down to 1% as part of the spending cuts to balance the budget.
No decreases to military pay should occur before all employer contributiions to the pensions of federal employees have been enacted.
No decreases to military pay should occur before a pay freeze for Congress has been implemented through legislation.
Pay for military personell should always be prioritized over that of elected officials and their support staff.
