If no fiscal cliff solution is passed but January 1st, then the President and the entirety of Congress must resign.

If the United States does go over the so called "fiscal cliff," this would be the most glaring possible sign that real change is needed in Washington. Compromise and negotiation have somehow become things of the past, and instead we have a Congress that gets paid to do nothing, a President who gets paid even more to do nothing. Since this group of people cannot work together to get something done, the President and any congressman not voted out of office in the past elections should be forced to resign because of their severe dereliction of duty. In a time where America needs leadership, we have none, so they need to be replaced with people that will work together to find solutions to the nations problems.
