If a person murders or injures someone they should have to pay expenses, if jail seize valuables from suspect or family.

There is always violence and murders, rapist, and they get away with just jail time or whatever the verdict is. I feel they should have to pay for all expenses such as funeral expenses, medical expenses, etc. If they are incarcerated government should take property of value from them or immediate family to pay for they expenses that the victim family has to go raise at a benefit or fundraiser etc. I know family should have to pay for what the suspect did, but in most cases they help hide them when wanted. Which is a felony to hide someone that is wanted. A victim is a victim for his or her own actions and has to pay the consequences.
