If regular NY citizen's are held to the outrageous new gun law, retired police officers are not exempt from the same law

With the new outrageous gun laws imposed on law abiding citizens of New York; I petition that retired law enforcement not be exempt from the same law. They are no longer on active duty and the only reason I can see them being exempt is to pacify the concerns of current law enforcement and to keep the current law enforcement from opposing the law. This law is unconstitutional but since it has been passed, everybody should play by the same rules, including Governor Cuomo and his personal security.
