I propose that if the Senate refuses to do the job they have been elected and paid to do, they should stop being paid by the taxpayers who elected them.
Please hold confirmation hearings to discuss the nomination to the Supreme Court of Merrick Garland. You can vote however you like, just please do your job and vote on it.
I do not know of any other job where you can choose to ignore your responsibilities and not do your job but continue to get paid for it. I suggest that ALL senators stop getting paid until they do their job. Maybe some day you can regain the trust of the American people and earn your paycheck like most of us do.
As a side note I would also like to suggest that anyone elected to state or federal public office be required to read The Constitution at least once a year.
