If the US Military does not get paid due to the lack of actions by congress, then congress does not get paid either.

It is easy to understand, because of the republicans the government is being shut down. What then happens to the families and soldiers that protect this nation? Starvation and debt, that is what it means. Our congress is ALLOWING thousands of families that serve this nation to go into debt and starve while they get to continue to collect their paychecks for doing NOTHING. If soldiers that have family dont get paid, they cant buy food to feed their children. These actions have got to STOP! If soldiers don't get paid, then the congress shouldn't get paid. The members of congress ALL have plenty of money to feed themselves while THEY willingly shut down the government because they can't have their way. They are acting childish and are putting the lives of thousands at risk. Stop the insanity!
