If we go over the fiscal cliff, Congress will work weekends & holidays & forfeit their salaries until they reach a deal.

Created by A.C. on December 29, 2012

Congress just got a raise and are already about to send us over the fiscal cliff.

Hardworking people have to meet deadlines every day. We do not get paid extra for failing to do our jobs, and we do not get to go home with work left unfinished. Congress is asking the American people to sacrifice for their failure to do their jobs, and I say 'No.'

If Congress fails to meet the deadline they will work extended hours - nights, weekends, holidays - in order to get the job done, with no extra pay. If by some means they fail, it will not be the soldiers or the little old ladies waiting on their Social Security checks who foot the bill. Congress will forfeit their pay until they do what they are paid to, and come to an agreement to keep us from going over the fiscal cliff.
